If I am to believe what the calendar tells me, I now have a one year old child. This is incredible! I could swear that just last week I was crying over him while nursing because at 3 weeks old, he was “so big”. (A hefty dose of the crazies, that’s what I had…) I’m having a hard time holding on to the memories of those sweet early moments. I keep telling myself I need to write them down, and then I don’t, and then every day that passes makes them fuzzier. Need. To. Get. On. That.
I didn’t know I would love being a parent so much. It makes me happycrazyfrustratedtired(exhausted)joyful and one day is never the same as the last. I’m constantly learning and changing, just like the little dude. We are good friends, he and I, and I try every day to be a better person because of him.
So, here’s to my son: he’s a heck of a kid – funny, cute, entertaining, (mostly) happy, energetic, and awesome! And so loved by his mama.
